FOOD BANK – 11870 Monarch Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841
Packing food boxes for seniors. Every month we serve roughly 20,000 seniors with food boxes containing essentials like grains and canned goods. Volunteers work on the food line to pack boxes with these goods. Great for larger groups and groups with children. There is no set minimum age to volunteer, however youth must be supervised by an adult. If the group is mainly minors under 16 years old, there must be 1 chaperone per 15 youth.
- # of volunteers per shift: up to 80 volunteers. At least 10 volunteers are needed to sign up as a group. Groups smaller than 10 must sign up as individuals.
- DAYS/TIME: We need the most support on the weekdays, but if you have a specific date in mind please reach out!
- WEEKDAYS: 9AM-11AM
- SATURDAYS: 8:30AM-10:30AM and 11AM-1PM.
CLEMENTINE (MOBILE FOOD TROLLEY) at El Modena FRC – 18672 E Center Ave, Orange, CA 92869:
•Help our Mobile Food Trolley distribute food to our participants at El Modena Family Resource Center.
- # of volunteers needed per shift: 4-10 volunteers, must be 18 years or older
- DAYS/TIMES:
- DAYS:First Friday of every month at El Modena FRC
- TIME: 10:30AM-1:30PM at El Modena FRC
THE GIVING FARM Westminster High School – 14325 Goldenwest St, Westminster, CA 92683:
The Giving Farm is an 8-acre farm located at Westminster High School. It provides the students with supervised hands-on agriculture and farm-animal experience. Food harvested from the Farm gets donated to the OC Food Bank! From prepping land for planting to harvesting, volunteers truly help maintain the Giving Farm and make sure quality produce goes to those in need.
- # of volunteers needed per shift: 20 volunteers on an average day, however we can accommodate larger groups with advance notice and depending on the harvesting schedule.
- DAYS/TIMES: Monday – Friday and select Saturdays, 9AM-12PM
ANAHEIM INDEPENDENCIA FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER – 10841 Garza Ave, Anaheim, CA 92804:
- On the first Tuesday, as well as the second and third Thursday of the month, Anaheim Independencia has a food distribution that serves over 100 people. We would need support with the distribution process to help us smoothly and safely serve the community.
- # of volunteers needed per shift: 10 volunteers max
- DAYS/TIMES: First Tuesday of the month, second and third Thursday of the month, 9AM-12PM
- EFAP (Emergency Food Assistance Program) packing is on the first Friday of the month. Volunteers would help support by preparing these goods for our participants to take home!

SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY CENTER – 1601 W 2nd St, Santa Ana, CA 92703:
Be a meal sponsor and help serve! 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Southwest Community Center serves meals to those in need (over 70% of which are unhoused). Sponsoring a meal consists of purchasing enough food for 80+ individuals, delivering it to the center, setting up, serving the meal, and assisting in clean up. We are currently only accepting meals purchased through a food vendor and encourage the meals provided to be well rounded. Currently all meals are grab and go, with all necessary safety precautions in place throughout the process.
