Community Action Partnership of Orange County serves as an umbrella organization for the Orange County Food Band and other non-profit groups that distribute diapers, offer mental health services and provide rental assistance.
The team at Community Action Partnership has been working nonstop to help those in need during the pandemic, according to family support specialist Rita Garcia.
“They’re saying we’re unsung heroes with the work that we do,” Garcia said. “I don’t think we’re heroes. We’re just doing the best that we can to help out the community.”
