Engaging in physical activity is important to keep your bones and muscles strong and healthy! Exercise can be fun and easy to integrate into your busy schedule. Taking just 10 minutes out of your day is a quick and effective way to get your body moving. During March, CalFresh Healthy Living partnered with Kid Healthy to invite the participants of their morning nutrition class at Ponderosa Park to join us in some physical activities outside. 8 participants learned stretches and movements that can be performed without any equipment and can be modified to do at home, such as lunges and sit-ups. Participants felt more energized and had a great time! To connect what they had learned about nutrition, each participant received a small produce bag to take home.
