At CAP OC, we pride ourselves in providing a wide-array of programs and services that all aim to help struggling individuals and families combat the causes and effects of poverty.
The Cho Family came to us in a time of need. Both mother and father contracted COVID-19 and found themselves unable to work and worried about how to support their two children. It took months before they were even able to receive their first unemployment benefits. Finding themselves new to this situation of need, they found themselves at our Southwest Community Center after being referred to us from our Utility Assistance program. Not only we were able to provide them with daily hot meals, we also got them signed up for our Rental Assistance program, as well as our Adopt-a-Family program, ensuring they this past holiday season was special.
