As part of the California Department of Community Services and Development’s Low Income Weatherization Program (LIWP). This program is designed to assist eligible low-income households manage energy efficiency and help reduce Green House Gas in California’s Central Valley.
Dwelling Eligibility Guidelines: Under the umbrella of the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) created a tool used to identify communities that are most impacted by and sensitive to pollution. This tool is known as CalEnviroScreen 2.0 Map. Household with a CalEnviroScreen Score of 76% or higher are eligible to receive assistance under LIWP. A certified Energy Inspector will conduct a thorough inspection to assess the needs of the home. The Inspector will then design, within the programs constrains, a customized set of conservation measures. The Department will make the needed improvements, at no cost to you.
