The holidays will be here again before we know it! This is CAPOC’s busiest season when we enlist the help of local businesses, churches and service groups to make this a bright season for those who are less fortunate.

In Orange County, the number of  persons who are poor and at-risk of hunger continue to grow. While many low-income families work, they do not have sufficient resources to meet basic needs due to low wages, high housing costs, rising food prices and other economic problems that makes it harder for our families to make ends meet. We are asking you to help break the cycle of despair and bring hope into the lives of thousands of children and their families. Help to fulfill America’s promise to our families.

As the holidays quickly approach, Community Action Partnership of Orange County is dedicated to making sure that children and families impacted by the economic downturn are not left behind.  Please join us in the 2011 Hope for Holidays Campaign and help bring hope to hungry children and families who are struggling to make ends meet.

a Adopt-a-Family
You can sponsor an individual family or collect toys for the 2,000 children ages newborn to 18 who receive toys from us each year. Our greatest need is gifts for children ages 11-14. Gifts must be new and unwrapped. Adopting a Family requires a commitment to provide gifts and a holiday meal for all the members of some very special families. To begin helping families, please download the
Adopt-a-Family Information page and the  Adopt-a-Family Application Form . For more information, please contact Linda Dryden at 714-897-6670 ext 5310.

a Gift Certificate Drive
It is difficult to find gifts for 15-18 yr olds. We are suggesting that donors give $20-$25 gift certificates to provide food and basic needs for our teens and their families. Please send gift certificates to:
