Research Specialist
NUTRITION EDUCATION AND OBESITY PREVENTION (NEOP) PROGRAMS

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Research Specialist will assist with the evaluation of the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (NEOP) programs, funded by the County of Orange Health Care Agency. The Research Specialist will evaluate nutrition education and physical activity promotion interventions, and lead Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change efforts in a variety of community channels in the cities of Anaheim and La Habra. Evaluation methods can include process and impact evaluations, pre and post tests, surveys, focus/discussion roundtables, and more. Additional duties include providing direct and indirect nutrition classes and attending events to provide nutrition education information. Funding is for one year, with the possibility of a second year. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Health Education, Health Sciences, or Public Health from an accredited university with a minimum of 6-12 units focused on evaluation and statistical measures. Must possess active Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Preferred:  Minimum requirements plus 2-4 years or more related experience. A computer literacy test will be administered.  Must pass test to be considered for interview. Field Superintendent- (CLASS B LICENSE REQUIRED)
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (EES)/WEATHERIZATION (WX)

Position Summary

Under general direction of the EES Director, oversees energy efficiency installation activities whether done by the Agency's employees or independent contractors.  Other duties which are necessary for the function of the department.  Must possess a current California Class B (General Building Contractor) License and act as Agency’s Responsible Managing Employee (RME).  Required: Must possess current California state contractors Class B License with prior supervisory experience of 2 or more workers Non profit and energy efficiency experience desirable.  Must provide a current Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) printout attached to job application. Grant Writer
PLANNING & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

Position Summary

Under supervision and direction of the Director of Planning & Fund Development, the Grant Writer is responsible for performing planning and resource development research and procurement.  Prepares planning studies, reports, federal, state, and foundation grant applications, collects program data and maintain contracts.  May assist with program design and other work related duties as required. Required:BA/BS, with 2 or more years in non-profit, government, or related environment, or AA with 2 years of college work and 2 or more years equivalent work experience. Program Assistant
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (EES) DEPT.

Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Field Superintendent- WX, the Program Assistant will assist with the daily operation and administration of Energy and Environmental Services Department programs and activities.  Program Assistant will support and coordinate Weatherization field work.  Responsible of scheduling Assessors/Inspectors and job tracking for Region 3 of the Low Income Weatherization Program (LIWP).  Required: 2 years or more directly related experience with High School diploma. Preferred:  1 year or more equivalent work experience with BA/BS degree, or AA/2 years of college work and or more years equivalent work experience. A test will be given to determine data entry and computer literacy.  Must pass all tests to be considered for interview. Please note this position is limited term until May 18, 2018. Data Entry Technician
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (EES) DEPT.

Position Summary

Under supervision, reviews weatherization production sheet information; bills completed measures and is responsible for data entry in Hancock and Web based databases via computer for the Low Income Weatherization Program (LIWP) Region 3.  Maintains invoices and files. Creates work orders for Subcontractors.  Prepares weekly draft reports to track progress of production and billing.  Completes a variety of program and/or administrative support functions for the Energy & Environmental Services Department. Required:  High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience with data entry in accounting, construction, weatherization or a related field. College level math or accounting coursework is highly desirable.A test will be given to determine data entry and computer literacy.  Must pass all tests to be considered for interview. Warehouse Clerk
FOOD BANK

Position Summary

Staff reception desk in Food Bank warehouse. Register volunteers as they arrive. Completes invoices for all outgoing food. Provides other administrative support to assure efficient operation of Food Bank warehouse. Required:  Education and/or experience that would have applied or developed the required knowledge and abilities. Nonprofit experience is desirable.
