Position Summary
Under direction of the Director of Planning and Fund Development, the Fund Development (FD) Manager is responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. Implement and coordinate fundraising activities for the agency including annual fund development campaigns (online, direct mail and major gift solicitation as well as corporate gifts) and cultivation of new and existing donors.  Ensure stable success and growth of agency’s fund development program, and that goal objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame.  Plan and coordinate fundraising events. Ensure funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinate staff (supervises the Donor Development Coordinator and the Development Services Coordinator) and volunteers. Will foster the growth of best practices in online giving, gift solicitation and processing, data management and donor relations as related to annual giving and CAPOC as a whole, including the OC Food Bank. The FD Manager has a keen appreciation for the foundation of annual giving as the enabling component of successful major and gift planning programs. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Communications with three to five years experience in fundraising and fund development.  Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred. A test will be given to determine computer proficiency. Must pass test to be considered for interview. A writing essay will be administered before the interview. Apply by:OPEN UNTIL FILLED
